Dickies have been known as a boat builder, repairer, engineer, chandler and broker for over a century.
Today Dickies International is a premier boat yard, brokerage and the supplier of a range of new boats throughout Europe and beyond.
Client's brief
Dickies were keen to engage with their database of clients and customers. Unsure of the best way to keep them up to date with the arrival of new boats, products and events, Dickies came to us for an email marketing strategy.
Here's what we did
- We designed an email template based around the Dickies brand and the information that they wanted to talk to their audience about.
- We developed a monthly email marketing schedule based around events and product launches.
- By using a sophisticated email marketing software integrated with Google Analytics we have been able to deliver thorough data from each campaign. This allows our client to fully assess ROI ( Return on Investment ) and us to achieve even better results with each subsequent email.
- The entire mailing list was managed via our email software, allowing the registered users to unsubscribe easily at the click of a button..
In addition to the email marketing campaign, we also set up a 'Boat Alert' email. Every time a new boat is added to the database, an email is sent to the subscribers informing them of a boat that they are specifically interested in and directing them to the website.
Our results
With an audience of around 10,000 the Dickies monthly newsletter has an open rate of around 26% and a click through rate of 60% each month. Each visitor from the email spends around 5 minutes browsing boats on the site and reading the latest news and looking at an average of 7.6 pages.
