Juretic chooses Magento for latest ecommerce site

Working with our friends at Communications and Trading, we have brought the DCP site into the 21st century, with a complete redesign and ecommerce package overhaul.

We have decided to once again use Magento as the ecommerce solution. Magento is an open-source application built on the Zend Framework. Using bespoke code or the extensive library of plug-ins available via the Magento Connect system, Magento can be an extremely extensible, customisable and flexible system. Magento Connect plug-ins are contributed by the Magento community, these add-ons can customise your Magento solution by adding extra functionality, changing the look and feel of your site or allowing integration with payment gateways such as SagePay (formerly Protx) and WorldPay.

The Magento back-office is also effortlessly intuitive and user friendly, simplifying the process of managing your online store. Adding and editing products, categories and website content is easy, allowing you to manage your inventory with no hassle as your product range grows.

The new Dect Cordless Phones site also offers customers the ability to get involved by reviewing and tagging products. There is a social bookmarking feature, this allows customers to share links to products and articles via all major social media channels, which helps potential new customers find the site and products.

We are extremely pleased with the DCP site, which not only allows users to easily find what they are looking for, but also allows them to get involved with the site and help others searching for DCP related products.

Juretic works with Triangle to help children and families

Triangle is an independent organisation that provides a wide range of services for children and young people. Offering intensive support to children with very complex needs, Triangle uses play, art therapy and psychotherapy to communicate with children and give expert opinion to the courts, as well as teach and advise parents and professionals.

Triangle approached Juretic to completely redesign their existing website and to incorporate their new branding, developed by local Brighton based design agency Tug Boat. The aim was to make the site more appealing to children, display rich media like videos, include a search facility and be more accessible and user friendly.

By identifying the original site’s strong and weak points we were able to employ a new strategy to improve the site’s navigation, usability and information architecture, as well as implement a new content management system that can be updated easily by the staff and the children at Triangle.

Here’s what our client had to say

We were looking for a company able to design websites accessible to people with different disabilities and access needs, and also willing to work alongside teenagers involved in developing our site for children and young people. Juretic delivered on all counts, listening carefully to our brief, coming up with ideas to bring the site to life and patiently translating everything into plain English throughout.

If you know nothing about java script, webforms or uploading avi files, but know that you want a brilliant site that’s beautiful to look at, easy to navigate, full of information, and a doddle to update, then we recommend Juretic without hesitation.

Juretic go eco friendly with Action Business Systems

Action Business Systems, based in Cornwall (where the Juretic team will soon be taking a surfing break) provide environmentally friendly digital products to businesses.

Action Business Systems have a strict policy on only promoting manufacturers who have addressed the issues associated with recycling and disposing of unwanted printers, fax machines and their peripherals and wanted their site to reflect this.

With an eco feel running through the site, the products are split between showcasing the various types of environmentally friendly printers, faxes and scanners and multi-functional devices and every product page gives you information on what aspects of the devices are environmentally friendly.

The site has been developed using a product management system that has been integrated into the CMS, allowing Action Business Systems to fully manage their products and giving them complete access to make changes to their site.

Juretic takes Best4 to the European ecommerce market

Media & Communications have been with Juretic since the early days and so when we saw a number of sales for Best4Systems.com coming from Germany, Holland and France, an opportunity was spotted and we were delighted to be involved.

In order to fully capitalise on the European market we have embarked on not only designing a site especially for the German market, but Rob (one of our Google Professionals) has also worked with a translator to set up a multilingual Pay per Click campaign for the Best4Systems site.

The site also benefits from Google Product Search, with products now appearing in both the UK and DE search.

The Best4Systems.com/de/ site will trial Media & Communications expansion into the European market.  Take a look at the site and let us know what you think.
